Testors Metallic Black Enamel Paint TES1154 is a 1/4 oz oil-based hobby paint designed to create a deep black finish with subtle metallic reflectivity. The Black Metallic shade is a versatile choice for scale model armour, model cars, aircraft, ships, spacecraft, robots, miniatures, train layouts, mechanical projects, and custom craft details. It adds visual depth to structural features, engine parts, chassis pieces, trim, wheels, exhausts, panel details, and other surfaces where a dark metal appearance is preferred over plain black paint.
This fast-drying enamel is supplied in Testors’ iconic compact glass bottle, making it ideal for controlled brush painting on small parts, intricate details, accessories, and touch-up areas. The oil-based formula is designed to flow smoothly, cover well, resist blushing and fading, and blend with other compatible Testors enamel colours. When fully cured, it provides a durable protective finish for painted parts.
Stir thoroughly before use to distribute metallic pigment evenly. Apply thin, even coats to a clean and dry compatible surface, allowing sufficient drying time between coats. The paint is suitable for brush work and may be airbrushed after thinning with compatible enamel thinner. The glass jar does not accept a standard airbrush lid.
Use only in a well-ventilated workspace. This product is flammable and toxic; keep it away from heat, sparks, and open flames, and follow all safety instructions on the package.
