Testors Gloss Black Enamel Paint TES1147 is a 1/4 fl oz oil-based hobby paint that delivers a deep black colour with a smooth, polished gloss finish. It is suitable for scale models, model cars, motorcycles, aircraft, ships, model railroads, robots, miniature figures, engine parts, chassis components, trim, decorative hardware, dioramas, crafts, and precise touch-up projects.
The compact 7.4 mL glass bottle supports controlled brush painting on small parts, body panels, interior components, raised details, wheels, engine assemblies, trim lines, accessories, and edges. The Gloss Black shade is useful for vehicle panels, mechanical components, polished model details, custom trim, figure accessories, and any project requiring a high-contrast black finish.
Testors’ fast-drying enamel formula contains finely ground pigments for smooth flow and dependable coverage. Colour is carefully controlled from batch to batch, and the bottle shade matches the related Testors 1247T Gloss Black aerosol paint and 2547C Gloss Black paint marker, making it easier to coordinate different application methods on one project.
Stir thoroughly before use. Apply thin, even coats to a clean, dry compatible surface, allowing adequate drying time between layers. The paint may be brushed directly from the bottle or airbrushed after thinning with Testors #8824 or #8825A Enamel Airbrushing Thinner. For gloss paints, use three parts paint to two parts thinner as a starting ratio and test before applying to the final project.
Allow approximately 48 hours for complete curing. This lead-free enamel is flammable and contains solvents. Use only in a well-ventilated area, avoid breathing vapours, and keep away from heat, sparks, static discharge, and open flames.
