Testors Flat Desert Tan Enamel Paint TES1167 is a 1/4 fl oz oil-based hobby paint that provides a muted desert-tan colour with a flat, non-reflective finish. It is an effective choice for military models, desert vehicles, aircraft, armoured vehicles, scale cars, model railroads, terrain, model buildings, miniature figures, dioramas, crafts, and weathered custom projects.
The compact 7.4 mL glass bottle is designed for controlled brush painting on small components, vehicle panels, trim, interiors, accessories, raised details, terrain features, model structures, and touch-up areas. The flat desert-tan shade is useful for desert camouflage-adjacent schemes, earth-tone scenery, sandy landscapes, military equipment, building exteriors, and other projects where a low-sheen tan finish is preferred.
Testors’ fast-drying, lead-free enamel uses finely ground pigments for smooth flow and dependable coverage. Colour is controlled from batch to batch, and the bottle shade matches the corresponding Testors aerosol spray colour. Stir thoroughly before use, then apply thin, even coats to a clean, dry compatible surface.
The paint can be brushed directly from the bottle or airbrushed after thinning with compatible enamel thinner. For flat enamel colours, use three parts paint to one part thinner as a starting ratio, then test and adjust on a spare surface. Allow approximately 48 hours for complete curing before regular handling.
This oil-based enamel should be used only in a well-ventilated workspace. Keep it away from heat, sparks, static discharge, and open flames, and follow all product-label safety instructions.
