Testors Flat Black Enamel Paint TES1149 is a 1/4 oz bottle of versatile, oil-based hobby paint with a deep black matte finish. It is ideal for creating non-reflective details on scale models, miniatures, military vehicles, aircraft, cars, model railroads, figures, dioramas, crafts, and repair projects. Use it for tires, interiors, engines, trim, weapons, mechanical parts, panel lines, scenery, and weathered effects where a smooth, low-sheen black finish is wanted.

The fast-drying enamel formula is designed to apply smoothly with a brush, offering dependable coverage and finely ground pigments for detailed work. The compact iconic glass bottle is well suited to painting small components, intricate accessories, and touch-up areas. Testors Flat Black can be used on many compatible materials, including ceramic, plastic, leather, stone, metal, Styrofoam, wax, glass, paper, fabric, and wood; it is not recommended for vinyl, polyethylene, or polypropylene plastics.

For best results, stir thoroughly before use and apply thin, even coats in a well-ventilated work area. The paint is brush-ready and can be airbrushed after thinning with Testors #8824 or #8825A Enamel Airbrushing Thinner; Testors recommends starting flat colors at three parts paint to one part thinner. It is listed with an approximately one-hour dry and recoat time, while complete curing requires about 48 hours. Clean brushes and tools with mineral spirits or Testors #1148 enamel thinner.

This paint is flammable and intended for adult use. Keep it away from heat, sparks, and open flames, avoid skin and eye contact, and use it only with adequate ventilation.
